I started BringLucasfilmtoVallejo.org to coincide with the Facebook Group Bring Lucas Films to Vallejo to help people easily get to the online petition to bring George Lucas to Vallejo (namely Mare Island) after the ongoing “saga” that is Marin County and Grady Ranch.  See the article I added from Suisun City Path for  details.

To sign the petition, go to BringLucasfilmtoVallejo.org and click Sign the Petition shown on the right sidebar.  At this time there are over 740 signatures and it’s growing daily.  Please add your name to the list and help us convince Lucasfilm that they want to come set up shop on Mare Island and will be welcome with open arms.

]]> The Sig Laser Sight for my P226R arrived – this thing is wickedly tiny, in a good way.  There are momentary push On/Off buttons on either side – if your index finger is long enough you could probably reach it as it sits just in front of the trigger guard, if not then it’s still quite easy to turn it on in an instant with your non-firing hang.

It casts a nice red dot on your target – I haven’t taken it to the range to adjust windage yet (as it is, the dot lands slightly to the right of center)

Mounting to the accessory rails involved loosening the set screw enough so that the clamps clear the rail on each side, you cannot slide it on from the front.  This is a really good design because if the set screw ever loosened up, it could slide right off the end of the rail.  Instead there are channels on the accessory rail of the P226R, that keep the laser in place should this ever happen.  I doubt it has.
